Terms of engagement
Pre-contract information, service scope, payment, documentation, withdrawal and complaints. The contract is concluded in Spanish; this English explanation accompanies the same conditions.
Who provides the service
You contract with Víctor José Burgos Valenciano, NIF 04614439H, practising lawyer no. 11.275 of the Málaga Bar, professional and tax address Calle Fresadores, 1, 1.º J, 29640 Fuengirola, Málaga, Spain; contacto@perezburgosabogados.es. Pérez & Burgos Abogados is his trading name, not a company. Estefanía Pérez Palma, Málaga Bar no. 11.274, co-directs the firm.
The named provider need not perform every step personally. Where he accepts the engagement, suitable independent lawyers may collaborate; the client is informed of identity, Bar, membership number, role, scope and responsibility before work begins. Collaboration does not itself change the agreed fee. If the firm only refers a case, it expressly explains the end or limit of its own engagement. With the client’s authorisation, necessary details may be sent to the external professional, who checks conflicts, gives an independent quote and engagement letter and invoices directly. Published firm prices do not bind that separate contract.
Scope and agreed price
Before any obligation to pay, the checkout identifies the service, total price with applicable taxes, included work, exclusions and known external costs or how they are calculated. You may review and correct your information before confirming. Published catalogues and service pages provide pre-contract information; the contractual price appears at final checkout, in the confirmation and, where applicable, the accepted engagement letter.
A fixed fee covers the described ordinary case. A “from” price requires confirmation of documents, stages, value and complexity. Court representatives, experts, government fees, notaries, registries, translations, certificates, legalisations, travel and other third-party expenses are excluded unless expressly included.
A consultation without document review uses the information you provide. The document-review option includes review of the case documents. Neither includes drafting, filing, negotiation, representation or later defence unless expressly agreed. Unusually extensive or complex documents may require an additional quote, offered for acceptance before that work.
Where offered, 100% of the consultation fee is deducted from professional fees for the same matter if the engagement letter is signed within 15 calendar days after the consultation. This does not cover external costs, create a cash balance or reduce fees below zero. Free assessments and services subject to an onboarding review become a contract only after the firm confirms scope and the client expressly accepts.
How the contract is formed
Choose the service and review its total price, scope and exclusions. Complete and correct the necessary information, read privacy information and accept terms through separate checkboxes. If requesting performance before the 14-day withdrawal period ends, make that request expressly. Stripe shows the final amount and you confirm payment with a button indicating the payment obligation. The contract is completed when Stripe confirms the charge and the firm sends email confirmation.
You receive essential contract information and a private document link. A consultation is arranged with you; for a management service the file is reviewed and the firm contacts you when necessary to complete or carry out the service. The contract is concluded in Spanish. The accepted version and contract evidence are stored privately for applicable legal periods. You may retain or print these conditions.
Performance, documents and changes
After payment a private upload link is normally available for 30 days. Uploading documents does not expand the engagement or make unrelated work included. You must provide accurate information, identify urgent deadlines and keep originals. Payment guarantees neither success nor an appointment, official approval or exemption from legally required identification, signature or personal attendance.
If a conflict of interest, professional inability or an unmanageable subject prevents acceptance or performance, the firm explains the position and applies the appropriate legal and contractual remedy, including a refund where applicable. Timing and means of assistance are arranged directly. Request changes by replying to the firm’s email. Absence, delay or cancellation is assessed against work done, actual costs and consumer law, without disproportionate automatic penalties.
Consumer withdrawal rights
Consumers may withdraw within 14 calendar days of contract formation, without giving a reason, by sending an unequivocal statement before the deadline to contacto@perezburgosabogados.es or the stated postal address.
If you expressly requested early performance and withdraw after part has been delivered, a proportionate amount for work actually performed may be payable. The right is lost only after full performance where it began with your express request and acknowledgement of that consequence. Payment alone does not automatically remove withdrawal rights. A refund, where due, is made without undue delay and within 14 days of notice, by the original payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Withdrawal form

Questions, complaints and governing rules
Send contract questions or complaints to the email or postal address above. Official Andalucía complaint forms are available through the Junta de Andalucía HOJ@ system and other legally established channels. Spanish electronic-contracting and consumer legislation, professional rules and the legal profession’s ethics code apply. Disputes go to the competent bodies under mandatory consumer-protection rules. These conditions do not limit statutory rights.
